T. W. Wood Workshops Dates & Descriptions:

Envisioning a Thriving Community for All People

On Wednesday, April 21, our art based activities will focus on envisioning community for people from diverse backgrounds. Using collage, paint, and other mediums the students will create their pictures of different types of housing they envision. In the afternoon, we will broaden the idea of a welcoming community to include other institutions needed for everyone to thrive. All of the individual projects will become part of a mural.

Envisioning a Healthy Community for People and the Planet

In honor of Earth day, on Thursday, April 22, we will expand our what makes a thriving community to include environmental components. We explore ideas related to transportation access, clean water, recycling, trees and community gardens. Using different mediums, the participants will create images of these elements to our envisioned community. Their individual work will then be added to the mural of our envisioned community.

These camps are produced in partnership with the Fair Housing Project of CVOEO and supported by funding under a grant with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
