The Fair Housing Project of CVOEO, ONE Arts Center, and other partners are putting together a statewide schedule of activities to celebrate Fair Housing Month in April. “HeART & Home: Celebrating Inclusive Communities” events include three art exhibits, free workshops and activities for all ages, film showings, and “Know Your Rights” info sessions.
Please let us know if you are planning any community events related to fair housing, home and community, racial justice, or housing discrimination during the month of April. We will add them to our statewide calendar of events and share them on social media. Send your calendar items by March 13 to fhp@cvoeo.org or call us at 802-660-3456 x 106.
A full calendar of April Fair Housing Month events will be posted at www.thrivingcommunitiesvt.org/fair-housing-month. Make sure you are following us on facebook, twitter, and instagram to get updates.
Fair Housing is the right to equal opportunity in housing choice and the right to rent or buy a dwelling free from discrimination. The federal Fair Housing Act passed into law in April 1968. For more information about fair housing in Vermont, visit www.cvoeo.org/FHP.
Fair Housing Month events are made possible with the support of the Champions of Affordable Inclusive Housing and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
