Fair Housing Education and Outreach Coordinator
The Champlain Valley Office of Economic Opportunity / Fair Housing Project (FHP) seeks an experienced and committed individual to join our team.
We are looking for a motivated individual to work with the FHP Director on education and outreach with organizations, municipalities, and the general public about fair housing rights, affirmatively furthering fair housing, and building inclusive communities in Vermont. Our ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience managing social media and public awareness campaigns, and be able to develop a working knowledge of fair housing laws and public policies affecting housing opportunities for people in protected classes. Educational background and/or experience in communications, community development, housing, municipal planning, or public education and a keen interest in affordable housing, fair housing laws, and inclusive communities are required. Community organizing experience, public relations, and event planning skills are helpful. A good driving record and access to a private vehicle is necessary.
